MY PARENTS WON’T TAKE ME TO GET TESTED!!!! AND THE SKOOL WON’T TEST FOR ANYTHING! THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE OUT OF SCHOOL!!!!!
Ask your school or school district’s special ed. department if they have a volunteer educational advocate available, who will advocate for you to be assessed or tested on behalf of your parents.
Volunteer educational advocates / surrogate parents for special ed needs, like me , can be appointed by a parent or legal guardian to act on their behalf in all matters having to do with an IEP ( Individualized Education Program ) , which schools are required by law to provide to all students with a suspected learning disability. A full assessment of the student’s Special Ed needs is the first step in an IEP.
why is it important that your parents don’t know?
simply ask your counselor at school for a referral to a psychologist. You don’t need tons of reasons or drama. just do it. let the psychologist decide the best way to assess you.

my gf is a psychologist.
I presume you do not live in the UK as schools have to test if the parents ask for one, they might need a bit of pushing but they do have to do it.
I have included some websites which have online tests. Some are probably better than others. If after checking them out you still think you are dyslexic do a search for dyslexic organizations and societies in your country. They will tell you how to go about getting help and what the rules are for testing and helping dyslexic children in the schools.
Good Luck

Please ask your parents permission to begin the testing, which yes can be offered by a school district, regardless of what a school says.
You have a legal right to appeal the initial decision if it is a matter of the school merely denying you access to the testing.
Getting tested for potentially having a learning disability is nothing at all to be ashamed of.
If you do have a learning disability, the results of a professionally administered test will then enable you to obtain the appropriate services to which you are legally entitled to obtain.
Your parents will be proud of you for wanting to find and utilize the resources which will help you do well in school. Education is supposed to measure what you can do, not what you are incapable of doing!
The ‘online’ tests are a fraud. Please do not ever use them, you do not know the licenses/degrees (if any) of the people who had constructed them. And schools/professional institutions do not accept their results because of this lack of professional credibility. You would only be giving out your confidential personal/medical information to quacks.

there is nothing good online-
you need to appeal the schools decision—i think the term is due process-
if you don’t have it–look for or get from the school a booklet called
parental rights in special education–it may be available online…
i had a friend that was diagnosed with dyslexia in high school.
permission is a different issue–did they give permission for the school to test you , but the school refused.
if it were me, and i thought I had a learning disabiity and my parents wouldn’t listen-i would call social services and report them for educational neglect….
schools don’t usually actually test for dyslexia–only eligibility for special ed
this site has great resources
not all educational pyschologists test specifically for dyslexia
the thumbs down is probably because of the reference to childrens service–what should teh student do–fail to graduate-work on the streets—in my area there are no educational advocates–the only way to over ride a parents ignorance is to get a court order–which can be initiated by childrens services–unless the child can actually hire her own lawyer..
childrens services is the advocate that was mentioned in another answer suggesting a school based advocate-
great if there is one–but usually there is not….the child or the school must file a report with childrens services or take the parent directly to court

i have worked with teens who were neglected by their parents and were either passed along in school or flunked out.
